Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do I have to create profiles in each of the sections?
A. You do not need to create a profile for every section. However, there is an inherent amount of interdependency between the fitness, nutrition, supplements and health coach sections of the site.  That being said, to fully maximize the benefits of the system, we recommend you create profiles in all sections.

Q. What if I want to change my personal information?
A. Click My Plan, and go to personal information.

Q. What if I made an error when creating my profile?
A. If you would like to create a new profile, simply click My Plan and then select “change plan” or “change profile” from one of the sections.

Q. Why does the system keep logging me out?
A. If you’ve been inactive on the system for more than 20 minutes, you will automatically be logged out. In addition, it is possible that your internet security settings may not allow any cookies. To change this setting, click Tools at the top of the browser. Click Internet Options, then click the Privacy tab; you will see the Settings bar. Pull down the bar on the Settings field to Medium. This will allow you to receive cookies. If you would like to disable cookies after you have logged out, simply repeat the procedure and raise the bar to the top of the field where it reads Block all Cookies.

Q. How do I get my daily meal plan?
A.
Simply go to the My Plan page, complete your nutrition profile and click the “create custom meal plan now” button. Next, select from one of the dates on the meal plan calendar to see your meal plan for that day. Afterwards, simply select the “view plan” button under the My Nutrition section of the My Plan page to see your plan.

Q. What if I don’t like the meal or snack I am assigned?
A.
Simply move your mouse over the “substitute” icon and select from a list of suitable alternatives.

Q. What does the 40:30:30 mean?
A.
To maintain proper hormonal balance, we recommend that every meal or snack fits within the 40:30:30 ratio. This means that 40% of the calories come from carbohydrates (e.g. vegetables, fruits, beans and some grains), 30% come from proteins (e.g. chicken, cold-water fish, turkey, tofu and low-fat dairy products) and 30% come from fats (e.g. seeds, nuts, olive oil and cold-water fish).

 Q. The residents of my household all have different dietary and nutrient requirements. How can I prepare meals suitable for everyone?
A.
When you click Substitute for any of your assigned meals or snacks, it will present 10 to 30 alternative choices. Simply choose a meal or snack that everyone will like. This way your entire family will benefit from properly balanced meals.

Q. How do I get my daily exercise plan?
A.
Once you have created your profile, go to the My Plan page and select “Create Plan” from the My Fitness section. Next, select from either the Quick Start or Professional program. After you have completed your fitness testing, click on the “my exercise program” under the “my fitness tools” section.

Q. What if I don’t like a particular exercise?
A.
If you wish to choose a different exercise simply move your cursor over the “substitute” icon and select from the list of lateral substitute exercises.

Q. Why are there phases of training?
A.
Each phase is unique and prepares your body differently in order to help you achieve your goals. All programs utilize periodization, which is a method of scientifically planning various phases of training. These phases of training are necessary for building a strong foundation of muscular strength, coordination and endurance.

Q. Is it okay for me to skip phases?
A.
Your program has been scientifically designed to progress you through the various phases of a properly periodized exercise program. We highly recommend that you not skip phases as this will impede your progress. However, be sure to re-profile every 4 to 6 weeks to allow for changes and progression.
