About my fitness

My Fitness is truly a breakthrough in on-line training technology. Following a detailed fitness level testing procedure, this system is able to create a highly personalized and effective fitness program complete with resistance training, cardiovascular and stretching modalities. My Fitness is superior to most programs you would receive if you consulted with a Certified Personal Trainer without the expense. All exercise programs come complete with on-line video demonstration, audio instruction and written descriptions detailing each exercise and the proper execution. To give you a more detailed, behind the scenes look at what is behind the My Fitness exercise programming we have provided the following synopsis.

Programming Overview

My Fitness consists of 3 main goals or streams. Every user will be asked to select from one of the following desired goals;

1. Fat Loss
2. Healthy Lifestyle
3. Increase Lean Muscle and Strength

All streams deal with progression within the training type continuum; from neural to metabolic.

The Increase Lean Muscle and Strength stream progresses within this continuum to the greatest degree.

All 3 streams follow a periodized training regime starting with linear periodization and then changing to a non-linear, alternating regime.

Switching between streams has been built into the training system.

All streams start with Stage 1, Phase 1 dealing with control/stability and general fitness training methods.

Training methods diverge as the client progresses within the training stream towards their individual goal and desired result.

Fat Loss Stream

This stream is mainly focused on body fat reduction using the proper mix of resistance training and aerobics.

This stream uses short rest intervals and a unique and innovative progression of the circuit training method. Some strength training phases are mixed within the stream to maintain adequate strength levels and reduce the possibility of adaptation (hitting a plateau), a problem that occurs with most other training programs.

Functional training is introduced only for the purpose of progressing to more complex circuit methods.

People choose this stream when their primary goal is to reduce body fat while improving overall fitness and health. Keep in mind that this is the single most effective on-line exercise program for fat loss.

Healthy Lifestyle Stream

This phase deals with “functional” training but not to the obsessive extent that is prevalent in the industry.

This phase follows the flexibility- stability- strength- power continuum.

There are 4 pillars of human movement; lunge, squat, push/pull and rotation. These “primal movement patterns” are progressed to the highest level using various training modalities.

This phase would be suitable for the beginner, the active person, and the “weekend warrior” alike. The people who choose this stream want to build a stable, flexible, functionally strong body while simultaneously improving health, trimming body fat and developing some muscle definition or “tone”.

Increase Lean Muscle and Strength 

This stream illustrates periodized training at its best.

This stream is an amalgamation of the theories of the top strength/conditioning experts in the field as well as our own.

We have taken the best concepts for all experts and weaved a system based on our interpretation of proper training protocols.

Various techniques will be used within this stream;

Hypertrophy (Muscle growth): high rep sets, P.O.F.(positions of flexion), standard sets, strip sets, pre-fatigue/post fatigue supersets, short rest intervals, 21’s, 1 and ½’s and eccentric emphasis training.

Strength: Maximum weights training, standard sets, wave loading, contrast training pyramids and alternate supersets.

The purpose is to have a balance between metabolic and neural training to insure a balance of sarcomore and sarcoplasmic hypertrophy within the training stream.

A person would choose this stream if their goal is to build muscle size, strength and definition. This program is highly effective in taking a physique to the next level and beyond.
